Sorrento Shutters was born from a moment of inspiration overseas
During his OE in London, Sorrento founder Kane noticed the elegant lines of a neighbour’s bay window - framed by classic European shutters. It was clean, simple and just…beautiful.
When Kane returned home to Aotearoa, he built a career helping people improve the comfort and quality of their homes – from sustainable insulation to premium blinds. After a decade in the industry, Kane created Sorrento Shutters to bring that same sense of timeless style and quality from that London street, to homes across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato.
Known for quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a genuine,
people-first approach, Sorrento Shutters is about transforming everyday spaces into something truly…beautiful!

Owner-Operator: Kane Burton-Brown
Born in Wellington and calling the Bay of Plenty home since 1995, Kane brings over a decade of hands-on home improvement experience to every project.
He loves the craft and takes real pride in creating a smooth, stress-free experience from quote to install. Clients appreciate Kane's clear communication, tidy workmanship and the way he takes care of their home.
Outside of work, Kane enjoys life with his wife and two daughters. You might find him cycling or exploring new local eateries - always on the hunt for good gluten-free spots.
